Harry Potter technically died during battle with Voldemort, but the fates decided he wasn't ready to depart and sent him back to take on the Dark Lord once and for all. He's Riverdale's version of Harry Potter. The rangers didn't show up until after nightfall, so Archie's subconscious could just be screwing with him.Ģ. Or maybe he was never attacked by a bear at all. He's just dreaming he died and he'll wake up with the cuts healed. Maybe his "death" is just an extension of that.

Archie really went through a lot in this episode, like even more than the nuns who drank the poisonous blue juice so they wouldn't have to testify against Hiram ( Mark Consuelos). He then spent several hours - based on the change in light from the time Archie called the rangers to the time they actually showed up - having vivid dreams about killing his demons, which included his innocent former self. Riverdale's midseason premiere ended with park rangers finding a lifeless Archie covered in blood after he was attacked by what he called a grizzly (we didn't actually see the creature in question). That's right, Riverdale went full-on The Revenant meets Game of Thronesand left its hero to bleed to death in a dusty old Canadian cabin after a bear attacked him in the woods. Her parents come up with a home rehab program for Olivia.Archie Andrews ( KJ Apa) looks to be dead. Billy's voicemail gets through to Olivia. Coop has decided she's going to take the GED exam so she can get on with her music career. Denise calms down Billy and then tells him Nonni will be joining the team. Olivia finds out her sponsor Leslie is in jail because of her addiction. Grace blames Spencer for covering for Olivia. Jordan tells Laura that Olivia took his car. Spencer tells Billy he didn't know about Olivia's drinking until the accident. Coop tries to convince Grace about the value of her dropping out of school but she doesn't buy it. Billy and Laura insist on talking to Olivia's sponsor that night. Olivia tells everyone at dinner that she had a drink, heading off Jordan's announcement.
A girl, Nonni, is the best kicker at tryouts, but her mother Denise, who is hitting on Billy, says no. Jordan informs Simone he wants to tell his parents that they're married at night that night. Billy informs Spencer that he needs to find a kicker.
Spencer wants her to tell her parents by night's end or he will. Spencer determines that Olivia has been drinking for months. Coop worries about her album since she wants it perfect to prove to her mother that music can be her career. Olivia refuses to tell Laura she had been drinking and she and Spencer argue about that. The cops let them off because Laura's the district attorney. Spencer claims he was driving to cover for a drinking Olivia. The police show up at Olivia's accident site.
